Service tip: Handle sapphire orifices carefully to avoid chipping the jewel, and inspect the retainer, nozzle nut, and sealing surfaces whenever the orifice is replaced. A worn or misaligned orifice can cause poor stream coherence, wider kerf, reduced cut accuracy, and shortened downstream component life.
