Axially installed, 360° spiral snap rings machined from corrosion proof stainless steel. Dropped into a precision groove, they lock bushings, bearings or seal carriers firmly inside a bore, forming the fixed “shoulder” that keeps intensifier and pump components from walking under 3,000 psi hydraulic shock or 60k psi water hammer. Their single turn spiral design offers full contact support with no lugs to snag piston skirts or seal installers, and removal is as simple as picking the tail with duck bill pliers.
