This stainless body with a mirror lapped tungsten carbide insert forms the hard sealing surface in Flow’s universal on/off valve (60k & 94k versions). When the poppet closes its 60° cone nests precisely in the valve body and mates to the poppet taper for bubble tight shut off shift.

Service tip: replace the seat together with a new poppet and seal assembly every 500 pump hours or after any over pressure event; a fresh carbide to steel couple keeps your universal on/off valve leak free and preserves full pump output.
