3-Way 1/2" NPT 75-150 PSI Valve

Air piloted, self relieving 3 port valve used in Flow hydraulic power units to switch low-pressure oil flow between the charge/cooling loop and the boost circuit. A heavy duty bronze body shrugs off glycol/water mix and shop humidity, while stainless internals and seats ensure bubble-tight shut off from 0 to 150 psi. Install it in the gear-pump outlet: when de-energized, oil recirculates through the heat exchanger; when energized, it routes flow to boost the intensifier’s main pump inlet, preventing cavitation on rapid ramp-ups.

Used with:

• Gear Pump; Fixed Displacement (A-22030-3) — feeds the 3-way valve; swap together if flow drops.
• Main Pump; Variable Displacement (A-22030-2) — receives boost when the valve shifts.
• Filter Element 10″ (A-1555) — protects the valve from debris; change with every oil service.
• Oil Pressure Gauge 0-5,000 psi (A-1623) — install downstream to verify valve crack and reseat pressure.
• 100 K Pressure Transducer (A-21842-1) — use with the PLC to log valve state and catch pressure spikes.

Service tip: Cycle the A-7230 valve weekly and replace its seats every 2,000 hours or if internal leakage exceeds 5% of pump output. A fresh valve maintains stable inlet pressure, preventing cavitation and extending pump life.
