Back-up Ring -240
Back-up Ring -240
The Back-up Ring -240 is a precision support ring used alongside O-rings in high-pressure assemblies to prevent extrusion, stabilize sealing, and extend service life. Proper installation is essential for performance. Always confirm that the dash size (-240) matches the O-ring used in the assembly. The back-up ring should be installed on the low-pressure side of the O-ring to guard the extrusion gap. Replace rings whenever the O-ring is changed, or if nicks and flattening are visible, to ensure long-term sealing reliability.
